Codex Currently Roadmap

Take market share before charging.

Start free. Gate every artifact inside Skool. Inflate useful community activity. Then raise prices when members already know the files, labs, and systems are worth paying for.

Phase 2

Artifacts

Phase 3

Paid depth

Wedge

The community starts as a free artifact vault.

The first battle is not premium curriculum. It is distribution. Claude Code communities already have attention around AI coding. Codex Currently should take the OpenAI lane by making practical Codex builds easy to copy.

The hook is direct: YouTube shows the build, Skool stores the artifact. Once the free group has members, downloads, and repeated requests, the paid tier becomes advanced implementation instead of a cold pitch.

Phase folders

Six-stage execution plan

Each phase has a matching folder in the repo so the roadmap can become scripts, artifacts, templates, and future project files.

00

roadmap/00-positioning

Positioning

Own OpenAI-native execution systems, not generic AI education.

Define the audience, enemy, category claim, YouTube promise, and Skool promise.

Output: Category statement, about copy, first 10 titles.

Metric: Message clarity

01

roadmap/01-free-market-share

Free Market Share

Publish simple Codex videos fast and capture free Skool users.

Build obvious artifacts on video and make the community free to join.

Output: 20 simple videos, 20 artifacts, 100 members.

Metric: Free joins

02

roadmap/02-artifact-gated-skool

Artifact-Gated Skool

Make Skool the only place to download the files from each video.

Package every video as a project zip, prompt pack, checklist, or starter repo.

Output: 24 downloadable artifacts and demand signals.

Metric: Downloads

03

roadmap/03-content-machine

Content Machine

Turn one build into a video, thumbnail, Skool post, short, and recap.

Standardize the hook, build loop, thumbnail badge, and artifact post.

Output: Four weeks of repeatable production.

Metric: Weekly cadence

04

roadmap/04-premium-conversion

Premium Conversion

Introduce paid access after the free community has proof.

Keep free valuable, then sell implementation labs and advanced repos.

Output: Founder tier, first 25 paying members, testimonials.

Metric: Paid proof

05

roadmap/05-advanced-systems

Advanced Systems

Ship premium OpenAI-native systems that justify higher pricing.

Integrate Codex, Agents SDK, sandboxes, cloud, observability, and automations.

Output: 6 advanced reference systems and member wins.

Metric: Premium depth

06

roadmap/06-agent-ops-currently

Agent Ops Currently

Test LangChain and LangSmith as a production-agent series inside Codex Currently.

Use Codex as the build driver, then use LangSmith for traces, evals, sandboxes, context, Fleet, and Slack workflows.

Output: 8-12 Agent Ops episodes, source-backed artifacts, and a split-channel decision.

Metric: Distinct demand

YouTube

Simple Codex build videos that show proof first.

Skool Hook

Artifacts are only downloadable inside the free community.

User Inflation

Free members create social proof and topic demand.

Paid Upgrade

Advanced systems, labs, and reference projects become paid.

Weekly operating loop

One build becomes five content assets.

This is how the channel stays simple while the community becomes useful. The artifact is the center of the system.
